"For this show, especially," said artistic director Randall Boothe, "we have sifted through hundreds of songs and have selected the most fun, most positive, and most uplifing music — music that typifies wholesome, family entertainment. Harmony: The Music of Life accentuates the positive with music by some of the world's most celebrated composers and lyricists."
Don McLean's superstar status is always attributed to his remarkable song, "American Pie" which, in 2000, once again topped the charts worldwide, this time recorded by Madonna. Back in 1972, "Vincent" ('Starry Starry Night') — taken from the American Pie album — gave Don McLean a second number one hit single and another landmark entry in the history of popular music. Some people are amazed when they read how successful "American Pie Man," Don McLean, has been. Far from fading away (like some of his 1970s singer - songwriter contemporaries), Don has very much remained in the upper echelons of popular music.
Between 1971 and 2000, Don McLean released more than 20 albums and scored major chart successes with "Everyday" (1973), "Mountains of Mourne" (1974), "Crying" (1980), Since I Don't Have You" (1981), "You Can't Blame the Train" (1987), and again with "American Pie" in the UK in 1991. He is immortalized as the subject of the Roberta Flack/The Fugees No. 1 hit, "Killing Me Softly With His Song." In 2000, Madonna recorded a cover version of "American Pie" which entered the official UK singles chart at number 1 and made the US top - 30 on airplay points alone. In 2004, Don was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

Sure, you can call the members of REO Speedwagon rock stars, but if you have to label them, here's the more accurate term they prefer: working musicians. Formed in 1967, signed in 1971, and fronted by iconic vocalist Kevin Cronin since 1972, REO Speedwagon has—for decades—been a band with a confounding blend of consistency and
The band rode the top of the charts with 22 million albums sold in the U.S. and 40 million around the globe, and the 9-times certified Hi Infidelity remains a high-water mark for rock bands. The band has been onstage and in the studio year after year. The result? Dozens of albums, thousands of concerts, and infinite radio spins. Not a year has gone by when REO Speedwagon didn't perform live, thrilling fans with hits like "Keep On Loving You" and "Can't Fight This Feeling."
Kevin Cronin (lead vocals, guitar, keyboards) has always cast an eye to the future, along with band-mates Bruce Hall (bass), Neal Doughty (keyboards), Dave Amato (lead guitar) and Bryan Hif (drums). The band's younger fans might not realize the sheer impact Hi Infidelity had on music and the culture of rock 'n' roll. The album's 9 million in sales was fueled by huge hit singles such as "Keep On Loving You" and "Take It On the Run." High Infidelity spent several months in the #1 slot, a feat simply unattainable in music today. The strong run continued with hits like "Can't Fight This Feeling" up through the new "Can't Stop Rockin'."
If Odyssey Dance Theatre's "Thriller" isn't part of your yearly Halloween tradition, it should be. The spooky spectacular combines technical aspects of dance while paying homage to the stars of All Hallows' Eve.
Throughout the two-hour program, "Thriller" highlights all the heroes of the season, including Frankenstein's monster and his bride, skeletons, mummies and werewolves. But among the ghouls, you'll find other unlikely heroes of Halloween, such as Bubbles the Clown and the "Giggle Girl," who sings and maniacally laughs her way through songs such as "I Saw Mommy Killing Santa Claus."
Critics agree that Odyssey Dance Theatre is nothing short of spectacular:
"Compelling dance performed to perfection! Young, trim, slim, and athletic...Great fun!" --The Spectrum
"Odyssey's "Thriller"..a delightful "Dance Macabre"....As for humor, there were bucket loads. Laughs abounded during a "Romeo & Juliet" inspired "Frankenstein & Frankenstein" and "Jason Jam," a work that used a lot of percussive dancing, a la "Stomp", that spotlighted three "Friday the 13th" villains dancing with ice picks, machetes and, of all things, chain saws. The whole idea was cool..." Scott Iwasaki, Deseret News.
The Lettermen are: Tony Butala, Donovan Tea and Mark Preston. In the late 1950's, most vocal groups had school-related names—such as Danny & the Juniors, The Four Freshmen, and The Four Preps — and The Lettermen's signature name and style held close to that tradition. By the time such names became passé in the early sixties, The Lettermen had scored several hits and were already a tremendous success. They did eventually pack away their trademark sweaters, and fortunately, their fans have gotten past the name.
The Lettermen first appeared in February 1958 at the Desert Inn Hotel Resort in Las Vegas. Since then, the group has continued to perform and record throughout the world. Their soft, melodic, and romantic sound (most evident in the 1961 hit "The Way You Look Tonight") was a clear departure from the rock 'n' roll music of the day. That song shot to No. 13 on the Billboard chart and was quickly followed by the group's second single that year, "When I Fall In Love," which performed even better by landing at No. 7. The success of these two songs firmly established The Lettermen as one of the most romantic singing groups of the 1960's. Their signature sound also made romantic standards of songs such as "Smile," "Put Your Head On My Shoulder," "Shangri-La," "Love" and on and on. Throughout the years, the trio has undergone a few personnel changes, but the group's beloved music and classy style has secured their spot as one of the greatest vocal groups of all time.
Back by popular demand! Get "Lost in Love" when Air Supply returns to Tuacahn for a rare repeat performance.
Probing love's many dimensions and touching hearts everywhere has been Air Supply's sole ambition from the start. "All Out of Love," "Lost In Love," "Here I Am," "The One That You Love," "Making Love Out Of Nothing At All," and "Sweet Dreams" are just a few of the many Top 5 hits the band has enjoyed since 1975, when Australian-born Russell Hitchcock and U.K. native Graham Russell met while appearing together in an Australian production of Jesus Christ Superstar. Their first Australian single, "Love and Other Bruises," hit No. 2 in 1976, and their debut album turned Gold in six weeks. In 1980, "Lost In Love" became a major worldwide hit, and the group's future success was assured.
Wherever they go, no matter what the language or culture of their audiences, Air Supply strikes a universal chord. "Singing about love is the main reason for our longevity," says Graham. "Our audiences keep coming back, only now they're bringing their kids." Adds Russell, "It wasn't always fashionable to sing our kind of music, but we've always stuck to our guns, and, I think, maintained our integrity. It's at the core of our beings anyway."
As for the two of them, their professional relationship has always gone hand in hand with a strong friendship as well. "We know each other better than anyone," says Russell, who makes his home in Los Angeles. "We never take each other for granted, never consider not working together, and always appreciate the career we've carved out for ourselves." The appreciation runs the other way as well, with fans forever — and truly — committed to the healing music of Air Supply.
One of America's most prolific comedians of all time, Bill Cosby has dazzled generations of fans with his comedy routines, also captured on his iconic albums and best-selling books such as Fatherhood and the groundbreaking The Cosby Show. His comedy transcends age, gender, and cultural barriers.
Cosby broke television's racial barrier with a role in I Spy, becoming the first African American to costar on a television series and win three consecutive Emmys for "Outstanding Lead Actor" in the dramatic series. The veteran comic hosted the Emmy-winning cartoon Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids, which began airing in the 1970s and was made into a film in 2004. The show, based on Cosby's childhood in Philadelphia, was designed to educate and entertain.
Perhaps Cosby's greatest contribution to American entertainment and culture is The Cosby Show, about a close-knit, upper class black family. Cosby said his intent was to portray an American family. Time magazine called the show "an encouraging sign of maturity in matters of race." The Cosby Show dominated the No. one spot for years, earning nearly unanimous critical praise.
For his philanthropic efforts and positive influence as a performer and author, Cosby was honored with a 1998 Kennedy Center Honors Award. In 2002, he received the Presidential Medal of Freedom, America's highest civilian honor and the 2009 recipient of the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. On April 6, 2010, he was honored by his own hometown with the Marian Anderson Award. He is the first lifelong Philadelphian to receive this award given to individuals who have helped change society through their art and the courage of their convictions.
"Everything I do, I do it for you". Eddie Money says it at least once, every show. And he means it. This straight up rock and roll icon has been making music and delivering it to his fans since the mid 70's, and wouldn't have it any other way. With hits like "Two Tickets To Paradise", "Baby Hold On", "Walk On Water", "Think I'm In Love" and "Shakin", Eddie continues to be one of the hardest working men in rock and roll.
Strength, versatility and a spunky sense of adventure are qualities more often associated with literary heroines than successful country singers, but then there's nothing typical about Sara Evans. Whether dominating country radio airwaves with one of her many hit singles or attracting a new legion of fans with her spirited turn on "Dancing with the Stars," Evans' drive, talent and determination have placed her in an elite class of artists who transcend musical genres to become a household name.

Chalk it up to their Texas-meets-Tennessee grit and tenacity, but there's nothing Lonestar loves more than a challenge: 500 concerts in their first two years, crossing over from country to pop and back again after no one else had topped both charts at the same time since 1983, selling 10 million albums, landing ten Top 10 country hits and collecting nine Top 10 pop hits, packing audiences with guys who love their rocking shows and ladies who swoon over the romantic hunks. That's just the kind of hard work that fuels the band.
Lonestar has sold more than 10 million albums and landed ten number one country hits as well as nine Top 40 songs on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. Their numerous hits include "I'm Already There," "Come Cryin' To Me" and their smash, "Amazed," which spent eight weeks at the number one spot on the country charts as well as reaching number one on the Billboard Hot 100. This dual win made them the first country act since Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton's "Islands In the Stream" in 1983 to accomplish this career milestone. But the band makes it clear that they are still growing. "After everything we've been through, we're still trying new things," says Michael Britt. "We're still growing as artists, and we're able to be creative in addition to having the wealth of success and experience that we've achieved – that's what sets us apart."
Actor and comedian Sinbad arrived on the comedy scene with a "hit 'em in the face" style of comedy that has kept audiences laughing in the aisles for more than two decades. The basis of his humor comes from everyone he's meets, everything he's seen, and everything he's done. Ranked by Comedy Central as one of the top 100 standup comedians of all time, Sinbad has built a loyal following by taking audiences' painful trials or embarassing tribulations of day-by-day life, throwing them back in their faces, and causing an uproar of comedic hysteria. He can also make it sound profound without being profane. Being the son of a preacher, he decided to keep his comedy clean after his father attended one of his early performances.
Sinbad is internationally known for his starring appearances in hit movies like Jingle All the Way, playing opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger; Houseguest co-starring the late Phil Hartman, and let's not forget his film debut Necessary Roughness, where he did none of his own stunts! He has starred in the television sitcom A Different World as well as his own series, The Sinbad Show. Sinbad has also appeared on the FX Television series It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. His long awaited stand-up special aired on Comedy Central in February 2010. Most recently, he was seen in the third season of NBC's Celebrity Apprentice.
