Each summer Tuacahn Center for the Arts hosts the most talented students aged 15 – 19 for a summer camp experience like none other in the United States! We like to call it “where summer stock meets summer camp” because not only will you perform a show as part of the regular Tuacahn season (resume alert!), but you will have over 40 hours of musical theatre workshop training from the casts of Tuacahn’s “Broadway in the Desert” shows.

It’s called the “Tuacahn Summer Theatre Institute” and musical theatre students spend SEVEN WEEKS at one of the most beautiful theatre venues on earth, honing their skills and getting training from some of the best theatre educators and Broadway professionals in the nation. You can’t beat it for the price, just $295 for local students that do not need housing, and $495 for out-of-towners that will be housed by Tuacahn.

Student arrive on June 15th and stay in residence until August 1st, 2009. Tuition includes all the professional artistic staff, resources and crews that will put Disney High School Musical 2 together for you. It also includes all the workshop training, 30 meals (during the rehearsal period) and so many fun events and activities that will keep you entertained and moving forward in this business for the entire seven weeks.
