Tuacahn’s Live Nativity
Experience the true spirit of Christmas under the red rock cliffs of Padre Canyon. Each holiday season, Tuacahn Amphitheatre brings the Nativity story to life with live actors, beautiful costumes, and authentic settings. Complete with live animals—including camels, donkeys, and sheep—the performance transports you back to Bethlehem on that holy night.
This family-friendly tradition combines narration, music, and pageantry in a reverent yet joyful retelling of the first Christmas. The performance runs about 20 minutes, making it the perfect way to enjoy the holiday spirit with family and friends before exploring other festive activities at Tuacahn.
It will snow on the plaza every 15 minutes—magical flurries all night long! ❄️ Plus, you can experience both holiday favorites in one evening: Live Nativity in the Outdoor Amphitheatre at 7 PM, then head inside for Holiday Inn in the Hafen Theatre at 7:45 PM.

Santa Claus at Tuacahn
The magic of Christmas comes alive when Santa Claus arrives at Tuacahn! Gather the whole family for a heartwarming holiday tradition as kids share their wishes and parents capture unforgettable memories under the glow of Tuacahn’s festive lights. With Santa’s twinkling eyes, jolly laugh, and plenty of holiday cheer, this is your chance to make the season extra special. Don’t forget your camera—these moments will be treasured for years to come!
Santa's Hours: Monday – Saturday: 6 PM – 9 PM
Train Rides at Tuacahn
Climb aboard the Tuacahn Express for a magical ride through the canyon illuminated by thousands of festive lights, paired with holiday narration and music — a perfect experience for families and holiday lovers alike.
Times: The train runs most nights from 6 PM to 9 PM
Duration: Each ride lasts about 7 minutes.
Ticket Price: $3.00 per person
The train departs on a first-come, first-serve basis and you don’t reserve a specific time slot.
