Bag Policy

(Size & Type Restrictions)

To ensure the safety of all guests and to expedite the entry process, Tuacahn Center for the Arts strictly limits the size and type of bags permitted inside the venue. All bags are subject to inspection and may be searched upon entry by Law Enforcement or authorized Tuacahn personnel.

  • Prohibited Bags: Any bag, backpack, or multi-pocket bag larger than the permitted dimensions, or with multiple compartments. Tuacahn does not offer a bag storage area for prohibited items. Guests must return these items to their vehicle.

🚫 Prohibited Weapons and Items

The following items are strictly PROHIBITED from being brought into Tuacahn Center for the Arts. Security reserves the right to deny entry to anyone carrying a prohibited item or any item deemed inappropriate or hazardous.

Weapons

Weapons of any kind are strictly prohibited, including, but not limited to:

  • Firearms (concealed or open carry)

  • Knives, box cutters, multi-tools, or any object that could be used as a weapon.

  • Chemical weapons, including Pepper Spray or Mace.

  • Members of law enforcement- on duty or off duty- may carry weapons with proper identification.

Other Prohibited Items

  • Outside alcoholic beverages or illegal substances.

  • Glass bottles.

  • Any item that is too large to fit comfortably beneath a seat (approximately 18″ x 12″).

  • Hard-sided coolers or soft-sided coolers larger than 10″ x 7″ x 7″.

  • Umbrellas (ponchos/raincoats are recommended).

  • Remote-controlled flying devices (drones, UAVs).

  • Professional cameras, video recorders, or audio recorders.

  • Laser pointers, flashlights, or glow sticks.

  • Bullhorns, air horns, whistles, or any noisemakers.

  • Laptops, tablets, or two-way radios.

✅ Permitted Items 

The following items are generally permitted inside Tuacahn Center for the Arts, provided they adhere to the Bag Policy and are not being used to disturb other patrons:

  • Water Bottles: Reusable plastic water bottles and ‘HydroFlask’ type containers are allowed. Free water stations are available on the Plaza. Factory-sealed plastic water bottles (up to 1 liter) are also permitted.

  • Small Blankets/Seat Cushions: Small blankets, seat cushions, or towels for personal use on seating areas are permitted.

  • Binoculars: Binoculars for viewing the performance.

  • Personal Mobility Devices: Wheelchairs, walkers, and other medical assistive devices.

  • Rain Gear: Ponchos and raincoats (umbrellas are prohibited in the Amphitheatre).

Outside Food & Beverage

  • Outside food, snacks, and water bottles are permitted but must fit inside permitted bag sizes. Large family-sized coolers or containers are prohibited.

General Entry & Security Procedures

  • Inspection: All guests and their possessions are subject to inspection and may be searched upon entry as a condition of admittance.

  • Cooperation: Guests should have their bags open and ready for inspection upon request at the gate. Failure to consent to a search will result in denial of entry.

  • Management Discretion: Tuacahn Center for the Arts management reserves the final decision on items brought into the venue.
