The Sound of Music

Synopsis: Based on the true story of the Von Trapp Family Singers, The Sound of Music is a timeless tale of love, resilience, and hope amidst the upheaval of World War II.

Young postulant Maria Rainer struggles to fit into life at Nonnberg Abbey and is sent to serve as governess to the seven children of the widowed Captain Von Trapp. Through music and kindness, she brings joy back to the household, capturing the hearts of the children—and eventually the Captain himself.

As Maria and the Captain marry, their happiness is threatened by the Nazi occupation of Austria. When the Captain is ordered to serve in the Nazi Navy, the family must rely on courage, faith, and a cleverly planned singing performance to escape to freedom over the mountains of Switzerland.
