A large part of what helps our Broadway shows and concerts run so smoothly are our wonderful volunteers! Each of them play an important role in the Tuacahn experience. They scan your tickets, help direct you to your seats, distribute show playbills and answer your questions! Today we’re highlighting one of our fantastic volunteers, Harriet Petersen! Get to know her below.
- How long have you volunteered at/been with Tuacahn?
This will be my 10th year, it’s hard to believe.  I’m proud to be a volunteer at Tuacahn.
- What do you do when you volunteer at Tuacahn?
I try to move around to different positions but there’s always a favorite.  I try to stay on top or sides, those stairs are getting tougher, but I need the exercise.
- What is your favorite part of volunteering at Tuacahn?
I love meeting all the patrons, finding out were there from, how they like the shows.
- What is your favorite show you’ve seen at Tuacahn?
I have so many favorites, including Shrek, Mamma Mia. I love the action shows and when they flood the stage. My all-time favorite was The Little Mermaid with the water curtain, it was great. It showed the Magic of Tuacahn and what a beautiful area we’re proud to call home.
- Something fun about you/something that people might not know.
I like to garden; I grow some hot jalapeños. I do love visiting my grandchildren and now I’m a great grandma twice.
My husband of 52 years passed away last year and Tuacahn was a life saver for me. I was so grateful that I could spend time with friends and feel their hugs and love. I’m very excited for the upcoming year and see everyone again!
Thank you for helping to make the Tuacahn experience so magical for our patrons!
