A Deep Connection to the Canyon

For some, the red rocks of Ivins are just a beautiful backdrop. For our Payroll Administrator, the canyon holds deep family memories and stories. Long before Tuacahn existed, her father spent his teenage years exploring this very canyon, running alongside the sheep, deer, and cattle that called it home. Over sixty years later, she drives to work every day in complete awe of those same majestic views, feeling incredibly grateful to work alongside such talented, happy people.

From the Box Office to the Big Cog

Her Tuacahn journey began nearly 18 years ago in September 2008. She originally took a role as a Box Office customer service and ticketing agent, planning for it to be a temporary gig. Instead, the Tuacahn magic quickly sucked her in! In 2012, she jumped at the opportunity to become the Payroll Administrator—and she has been keeping the gears turning ever since.

The Ultimate Multi-Tasker: What She Does

Managing a seasonal roster of over 500 employees is a massive task, but she handles it independently with incredible skill. She has grown right alongside the company as it transformed from a small outdoor theatre into the beloved, unique, and successful operation it is today. To broaden her skill set, she completed the SHRM Essentials of HR Management course at DXATC, allowing her to step up and help manage HR duties temporarily for two years. Today, she seamlessly balances payroll, accounting support, labor union complexities, and system management to keep our operations running smoothly.

Here is a snapshot of her impact:

System Pioneer: Acted as the sole implementer and manager for our brand-new, company-wide payroll system integration in 2023.
Lifecycle & Onboarding: Handles all system onboarding for new hires and rehires, processes personnel action forms, and keeps the platform running flawlessly.
Union & Royalty Expert: Manages complex IATSE and Equity Union dues, benefits, and reporting, alongside royalties for all TCA Broadway productions and concerts.
Time & Leave Keeper: Oversees campus-wide kiosk clocking systems, union vacation/sick leave, and company-wide vacation tracking.
Compliance & Care: Processes all work-related injuries, state employment verifications, and garnishments.
Accounting Anchor: Enters bills for production and concert royalties, agent fees, and union reporting, stepping in to support the accounting department whenever needed.

What drives her? A genuine love for problem-solving. She thrives on fixing system inefficiencies, creating clear reports, and working one-on-one with managers and employees to navigate payroll, human resource, and union complexities so everyone gets the absolute most out of our platform and their time working here.
