Employee Spotlight – Kevin Smith – CEO and Executive Producer

Kevin Smith, CEO and Executive Producer

I have had the privilege of calling Ivins home for more than 28 years. During that time, I have watched this incredible community grow, built three homes here, raised my family, and deepened my commitment to the people and place that mean so much to me. That same sense of community and connection is what has guided my 26 years at Tuacahn Center for the Arts, where I serve as CEO and Executive Producer.

What I love most about my role at Tuacahn is seeing the impact of live theatre and music on our patrons, artists, and community. Watching families experience their first Broadway show, seeing young performers discover their passion through our education programs, and bringing world-class productions to the red rock canyon is incredibly rewarding. The arts have the power to inspire, unite, and transform, and it is an honor to be part of that every day.

Recently, I was honored to step into a new role as Mayor of Ivins. My vision is to balance progress with preservation, protecting the natural beauty and character of Ivins while embracing thoughtful growth that benefits residents, families, and businesses. Leadership begins with listening, and I am committed to working collaboratively with residents, city leaders, and community partners to ensure Ivins continues to thrive for generations to come.

Whether on the stage at Tuacahn or in city hall, my goal is the same: to build community, inspire connection, and leave a legacy of creativity, kindness, and service. Ivins and Tuacahn have shaped my life in profound ways, and I am grateful for the opportunity to give back and serve.
