For just over three years, Gary Cahoon has been a vital part of the Tuacahn team as our Chief Financial Officer. With a sharp eye for numbers and a strategic mindset, Gary ensures Tuacahn remains financially strong, allowing us to continue bringing world-class entertainment to our audiences. His expertise and leadership play a crucial role in keeping our productions, programs, and future plans on solid ground.

Beyond the spreadsheets and budgets, Gary’s dedication and integrity make him a valued team member. Whether he’s offering a thoughtful solution during a meeting or sharing a laugh with a colleague, his presence adds both professionalism and warmth to the workplace. His belief in the power of the arts and commitment to Tuacahn’s mission are evident in everything he does.
Outside of work, Gary lives an active and vibrant life. He plays basketball three mornings a week with friends in Hurricane and regularly participates in the Huntsman World Senior Games, competing in both 5-on-5 and 3-on-3 basketball tournaments. He also runs a side business offering Military Humvee tours, primarily for visiting families, showcasing the stunning landscapes around Hurricane.
Gary has been married to his lovely wife, Christen, for 35 years. Together they have four adult children—Ciera, Garet, Chelsi, and Graden—and are proud grandparents to five grandchildren. A Hurricane native, Gary has lived all over the country, including Texas, Arkansas, Georgia, and Minnesota, during a 26-year career in manufacturing finance with Kimberly-Clark and Viracon. After moving back and forth a few times, he and Christen are now happily settled in Hurricane for good.
“I’ve loved every minute here at Tuacahn,” Gary shares. “It’s great being involved with a nonprofit theatre that entertains and inspires audiences at the highest professional level. I really enjoy the process of seeing Broadway shows come together—from show selection, to the design and build of scenery, costumes, crafts, props and special effects, to the selection and arrival of the actors and crew, and watching the shows progress through rehearsals and tech to become amazing works of art.”

We’re incredibly grateful for Gary’s leadership, energy, and the genuine passion he brings to Tuacahn every day. Here’s to many more seasons with him on our team!
